Please, excuse me for writing this letter. However, I consider it is my=20
duty to do so because of my age (86) and sixty years of my service to=20
our Church in various capacities.
As you understand, many priests and laymen including myself had been=20
shocked by the revelations of gross improprieties in financial=20
management of our Church, supported by solid data, made by former=20
Treasurer of the Church Administration Protodeacon Eric Wheeler. =E2=80=9C=
If=20
even 10% of it is true...the conduct of those who have participated in=20
these actions is simply unthinkable!=E2=80=9D - stated Gregg Nescott, a U=
=2ES.=20

Many of us familiar with Protodeacon Wheeler=E2=80=99s complaint and Mr. =
Nescott=E2=80=99s comments are grateful to your Beatitude and fully suppo=
rt your=20
statement at the last meeting! of Metropolitan Council: =E2=80=9C...this =
issue=20
must be addressed forthrightly and accountably... I have asked Father=20
Paul Kucynda, as acting Treasurer, to arrange for a full and complete=20
independent audit of our financial records=E2=80=9D.
It would be highly advisable to conduct audit from the time when Fr.=20
Eric Wheeler was Treasurer of the Church and not just for the last=20
years. If the allegations of Protodeacon Wheeler are confirmed the=20
perpetrators of these wrongdoings have to be punished and removed from=20
their positions. Attempts to cover them up for whatever reason will have =
a very harmful effect on you and on all of us priests and laymen loyal=20
to our Church.
I and all my colleagues and friends support wholeheartedly your=20
intention to address this issue =E2=80=9Cforthrightly and accountably=E2=80=
=9D. We pray=20
the Lord to give you His divine help in cleaning and renovating His House=
