I am trying to build a house but the costs are driving me mad.

Before i buy the land & build, im trying to budget the costs into
this. I do not want to waste money on this like the costs to get the
plan approved, engineer costs, etc ...

I want to outlay the capital for the material because i am in the
industry & can get it at a good price but i do not know the quantity .

If there some formula like 1000 bricks for 10 square meters or how
much cement is needed, etc ?

Is there a website with sample plans of the house & the quantity of
materials used to build the house ? This will help me a great deal !

Thanks

According to your specs, I've gotten your costs down to $412,389.50

Sorry, I can't get as specific as CRHRAS...he's good! Maybe some day
I'll make it to his level....

If your in the indusrty, you should be pretty adept at estimating
needs for a building job.

Wasting money on an approved plan and engineers cost? Man, that's the
place you should spend some dough...plan, plan, plan.

If you all else fails, take your plans to a builidng material supplier
and they'll provide you with an estimate of cost and qty to complete
the job.

Best of luck to you...

Oh yeah I forgot...if your really serious, some places with plans for
sale will offer the bill of materials to build their house...of course
it's an upcharge and if you alter the plan, well the numbers are not
worth the paper their printed on....

Still, good luck.
