I was searching on 'grey water' and found this thread.
I have a washing machine connected to an outside drain, and my water
purifier (75 gal a night) drain also..
It clogs up with the soap residue in about two years.
Is there a way to keep this from happening?

Not sure if this 'soak away' is what I need.

I had considered connecting a shower to it to keep it flowing, but didn't
want it to back up on me.

Grey water is not legal many places - don't know about yours. I
also know many people on septic systems who do this here where it
is not legal. There are enzyme treatments that love to eat soap
and scum that might take care of your problem.

Change the soap you use to one that is more environmentally freindly
and use less of it. Most clothes do not need a lot of soap.
