Indeed it does. I was a bit dumbfounded about how you could be pissed
off when the guy is doing good work for you, but putting up a sign
after he's done and gone is another story. Call the contractor and
ask him whether he's going to come pick up the sign or you should just
throw it out. Sorry if I jumped all over you shoes, but you were not
clear about the timing.
To put things in perspective, in my neck of the woods all permitted
jobs are required to have a huge honking sign that lists the
contractor's contact information, the building permit number, the damn
local politicians (talk about free advertising), etc. That bothers me
way more than a contractor putting up a sign while he's doing the
work.
