I have been turned down by the IBEW for their electrician
apprenticeship.

Are there other apprenticeships, sponsored by trade unions or not, that
people here can recommend for someone who is interested in learning the
electrician trade?

Do trade unions generally offer no or low cost "tuition"
apprenticeships? What are some low or not cost (if there are any)
apprenticeships offered by non union sponsors?

Do I have to start worrying about age discrimination at 32 for this
field?

You want in the union, or want to learn the electrican's trade... You don't
need unionization to learn the trade. Getting into the union has backdoors.
