Generally called a "dishwasher tailpiece" or "dishwasher branch
tailpiece".
The OP didn't mention a disposal, but at dishwasher can also attach to
the disposal, and regularly rinsing the disposal with hot sudsy water
sure helps keep it from getting stinky.
