Yeah. My training here on the group is going well, too. I really hope the
demographics here don't match those two.
Since Bugga and Non-Air couldn't even figure out the symptoms much less the
problem, I asked the folks at Robinair to critique the experiment.
They said the permeability of their hoses was such that 300-odd micron rise
in 18 hours was well within the specs for the hoses, and that, yes, 500
microns is higher pressure than they would recommend, despite EPA's saying
600 was adequate. EPA could give a crap about the longevity of a system;
they just want to keep CFCs out of the air.
But, then, Bugga and Non-air probably use the "screwdriver in the Schrader
recovery system", since they're so qualified.
Seems like my county isn't the only one with a lack of qualified techs.

I think this is where I say,
"My A/C, vacuum pump, gauges, gauge hoses and micron gauge are working
just fine." Too bad you will just have to trip, stumble and fall on
your head to learn.
