Seen that happen too...turned out one stage was heating while the other was
cooling....

He took all the heating elements loose last year when he was guessing.

That's the problem, he's guessing.

Find someone that KNOWS how to properly size and install new ductwork.
Than have them go over the complete system and correct any other issues, as
I'm sure there are many more.

The Trane unit would have cost you more if the same hacks would have
installed it. There is nothing wrong with your Water furnace unit other
than it wasn't installed right. You keep bashing the equipment, when you
should be bashing yourself for not hiring competent installers. Why are you
even posting this again???
