Well, I thought it was simple enough for you to see but I guess not.
Go to Wal-Mart, K-Mart or wherever you want.
Put a $100 5200 btu Brand X 9.7 EER window shaker on the shelf.
Now
Put a $300 5200btu Brand Super X 12.7 EER shaker on the shelf next to
it.
Take a guess at which one is going to sell and which one wont.
Clear as mud now?

I love my Remote Controlled 6,000-BTUH 9.7 EER (9.7 Is High Enough!)
Whirlpool Quiet Partner Series room AC.
It does everything just the way I want it done, for first floor area
measuring 900-Sq. Ft., I reduced it to 800-Sq. Ft because it is so
difficult for all of us to believe.
Brings the humidity & temperature way down to perfect comfort levels.
Rated for up to 225 Sq. Ft., but cools & dehumidifies perfectly well
over 800-Sq. Ft.

You have to see and experience what it does or you are naturally not
going to believe it.
I don't expect you to believe it; the proof is in the pudding and it
delivers as I have explained it to everyone.
Maybe I will take a photo of my home so you can see that it is a fair
sized 1930's farm house.
Come on over kjpro and do the measuring yourself & feel & see the
performance.
It's no big deal, every day it is hot & humid I am enjoying its half-ton
super performance!
It could top 90-F today & it is humid out here in SW WI.

And that's great! That you can cool 700 square feet to your satisfaction
with 6,000 btu/h. But don't put any breathing live bodies in there, nor
turn on any lights and plasma TV's. And don't open the door to let the
dog out either.
