Or cook, take showers, run hot water for cleaning dishes, etc...

kjpro, I take showers upstairs & that humidity also flows down the
stairway to the AC.
After I shower in he morning I usually turn the 5,950-BTUH window AC in
the bedroom, which is aided with a couple of fans, it brings the
humidity & temperature down in a very short period of time. I only
operate this one occasionally during the day & then a little while
before I go to bed, then it is shut down for the entire night.

Yes, I use hot water to wash the dishes & I cook meals, no problem, the
little Half-Tonner handles the added heatloads without a hitch.

I simply do not hype or misrepresent anything in respect to
airconditioning performance, I am a retired longtime HVAC Contractor &
Tech & have nothing to sell to anyone or any reason to misrepresent or
exaggerate the performance of a simple little window AC. It is a fair
sized older home as you can see in the old photo scan of it in my last
post.

It is the airflow through the rooms and back through the evaporator coil
that optimizes the cubic foot of air the little room units can condition
to ideal condition comfort standards! Put the little Half-Tonner in a
225-sq.ft. room which it says it is rated for, and that will be all it
will cool. It will also cycle a lot... .

Optimizing the latent & sensible heatloads in the rooms, through the
E-Coil, is key to optimal BTUH performance and efficiency.

Edited:
kjpro, I take showers upstairs & that humidity also flows down the
stairway to the AC.

After I shower in the morning I usually turn the 5,950-BTUH window AC on
in the bedroom, which is aided with a couple of fans a 20" floor fan &
an old 12" fan directed at the AC's Return Air Intake with AC unit
running on low speed, it brings the humidity & temperature down in a
very short period of time.

Yes, I use hot water to wash the dishes & I cook meals, no problem, the
first floor little Half-Tonner, usually operated on its lowest speed,
handles the added heatloads without a hitch.

I simply do not hype or misrepresent anything in respect to
airconditioning performance, I am a retired longtime HVAC Contractor &
Tech & have nothing to sell to anyone or any reason to misrepresent or
exaggerate the performance of a simple little window AC.

It is the airflow through the rooms and back through the evaporator coil
that optimizes the cubic foot of air the little room units can condition
to deal conditioned comfort standards! Put the little Half-Tonner in a
225-sq. ft. room which it says it is rated for, and that will be all it
will cool; it will also cycle a lot... .

Optimizing the latent & sensible heatloads in the rooms, through the

Well ZIP, these days at 72 I am usually the only one in my rural farm
home, however, I cook & go in & out a lot on hot days; if I leave it on,
the temp will usually get near 70-F with near 50% RH. It handles the
heatload with ease, amazing but True.

I have one, & numerous times, two TVs on plus my PC. If it's going to
be a hot day, I usually do the oven roasting jobs early in the morning.
It is probably well over 800-sq.ft., that's a bit irrelevant as there
are 13 windows, two doors, one is glass & a hallway that goes upstairs.

It cools the entire first floor with three fair sized rooms, and even on
the hot days I can leave the upstairs 5,950-BTUH off all day & it still
does its job.

Today it was over 90-F & high humidity, I had to shut it off in the
afternoon for an hour or more as it was 70-F 50% RH & I was too cold! NO
Kidding!
I never have found a need to misrepresent anything so you are welcome to
come and check this reality out.

All I could find was a poor quality very old 1960 photo of my home:
