Good thing they called in a lisenced "Pro". People should always rely
on pros and not attempt to learn or do anything on their own... hehehe

Peace, Dan

Sounds like they got the handy man, not a pro.

FWIW, you've never seen me say that.

You've seen me say 'Call someone who knows WTF they're doing',
which is different.

But if you ask them that, all you get is the 'WTF'... : )

There's this Canadian contractor who has made it big up here named Mike
Holmes... TV and everything... now he's got a book titled "Doing it
right"... describes all these things to look for when building etc...
even a brief section on HVAC and Ventilation... says he's against DIY
and everyone should get permits, hire a pro, etc...

...but in the Bio section, he brags on about how his father taught him
everything and how he was doing wiring at age 12.... His father was a
factory job guy--not a contractor of any kind. So a DIY and his 12
year old do all this work for themselves (and many others it seems)
then grow up and tell everyone not to touch anything? Since it's
Christmas, I'll remind of a one-time message by a 33yr. old carpenter
who probably figured he's not so good with the wood so he better start
being a priest of sorts: hypocricy is our biggest flaw.

Sometimes a DIY who takes the time to learn something might actually
know WTF they're doing...

Peace, Dan
