Interesting, never really thought about that scenario.

doing as good as perhaps R30 in a conventional attic as I am keeping
the heat out in the first place.

There is some truth in being a tightwad HO, this is a four apartment
project.

My AC and duct work are in that attic space. I think when it is all
said and done my attic is going to end up averaging 80F and 50% RH.
Not a bad working environment, sure beats a Sauna

80 is workable, most attics are not.
