I'm it over it already--and I probly wouldn't have even re-stated the
obvious after Fish's post were it not for me wanting to quell Jake's
curiosity.

Aww shucks...
Okay, admittedly you're pretty good at controls and your also probly one of
the best there is here here with heat pumps in general so here ya go...
Look closely at the stat subbase schematics and note how the O and B relay
(within the stat ) are typically cascaded....unless the stat is set to "auto
changeover".

well sheesh I would but i'm clueless about heat pumps, especially
Tranes.
Just for you S, here's the bonus question.....
On a Trane split HP wiring diagram, what does the B terminal
represent? (its an easy one) :)

Sorry--though I do actually have one here online I would need to look at the
diagrams to be sure.
( Nooner's ramblings being not all that bad when all is considered.
Thinking back though, the "blue wire" at the condensor is perhaps a
signal--that calls up aux heating upon defrost....actually pretty sure, it
is in fact...you could put an outdoors thermostat in series with it...
It's all in the shittage man, the bitch here is that it seems nobody has
seen fit to standardize.
( So are you gonna actually make me get out the friggen manual ) ?
