Just bought two flash lights off Ebay. Purchase date 7/16, They arrived,
today; 7/27. Below are some comments and thoughts.

----------------------------------------------------------------
Item #: 330253551331
Item Title: 3watt 3 watt LUXEON LED Flashlight Torch Police Ti 12 C
Item URL:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330253551331
Quantity: 1
Price: $8.49 USD
Subtotal: $8.49 USD

Got this one cause it takes AAA cells, which are fairly cheep. Luxeon bulbs
should last near to forever. I really hate blowing out filaments, when out
on a job or in a dark cellar. The light is fairly large, 1 1/4 diameter, and
4 1/4 long. The switch is a push button on the bottom. Natural aluminum
color, polished to a very handsome shine. I put three alkaline AAA cells in,
and pushed the button. For my trouble, I got a bluish white spot on the far
wall. It is slightly brighter than my 2 D cell Durabeam. The light is
totally useful. In a dark room, or dark night in the woods, the light would
be a very welcome part of my kit. The leather belt case has a velcro flap
over the top, and then a side to side strap which snaps. Should hold a flash
light in, fairly well. The belt loop snaps on the bottom, which may unsnap
if I were to come down on something like the arm of a chair. I normally
carry a mini mag in my pants pocket, next to my wallet. This light is
slightly fatter than the 1" diameter lens head on the mini mag. But not
exceptionally so. I put the light in my pocket. I am aware of the fatter
light, but I'd get used to it in a couple days. Would I buy this light
again? It would be useful if I were used to a belt holster for flash light.
As for me, I'd stick with my mini mag, and get the Nite Ize bulb conversion.
Alternative, I'd go to Harbor Freight, where they have two lights for 3.99
on sale, blister pack. Three AAA cells, 8 LED, and about the same light
output as this one.

Item #: 330251444150
Item Title: Ultrafire G60 6v 6p Xenon Tactical Flashlight Torch G2
Item URL:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330251444150
Quantity: 1
Price: $8.99 USD
Subtotal: $8.99 USD

This light is shorter than the mini mag, but slightly fatter. The light is
anodized black. It has enough pattern to be fairly easy to grip. The lens is
almost 1 1/4 inch across. The body of the light is larger (inch compared to
3/4 for the mini mag). I had just bought some CR-123 batteries. Opened a new
pack, and put two cells in. Pushed the button, and the light looked like it
almost didn't come on. I did some troubleshooting, and found I'd got a bad
battery. Open another battery, and put the two good cells in. Push the
button on the bottom again, and was rewarded with a large white spot. The
white spot is about 16 inch diameter, at about 10 feet. I k now, cause I'm
shining at some furnace filters. I tried it compared to a heavy duty 6 volt
light (with big lens, and krypton bulb). The tactical light is brighter than
a 6 volt light with square, alkaline, spring terminal battery. I tried the
tactical, versus my pocket carry mini mag with the Teralux conversion. The
tactical is far brighter. It's afternoon as I write, and the next room over
from me is daylight. The mini mag shows up on the ceiling, but the tactical
really leaves a mark. My big concerns are the tail cap switch. I'm used to
the mini mag function. The other concern are bulbs and batteries. The bulbs
I'm not sure where to get them, probably Ebay like the light. Batteries, the
CR-123 can be had on Ebay. The web site says that batteries last about two
hours. The tactical would make a good light for occasional use. Search and
rescue mission or something like that. I'd not want to use it for everyday
appliance repair. Would get expensive in a hurry.

Summary: The LED Luxon light was a bit of a waste of money. I'll keep
carrying the mini mag. The tactical light would be excellent for police
work, or search and rescue. I'd reccomend that users have a second light in
pocket, tool box, or on the belt. A bulb blow out isn't going to be easy to
fix. Unlike mini mags, they have no spare bulb in the tail cap.
