Thats two screw ups you have made within a week. A/C and refrigeration.

Do you remove the guts of TXV's and crimp distributor tubes?

Lets talk about Thermotrons. Which component develops a leak from it's
constant throttling action?
Should be easy for you since you specialize in them.
