Goodman Heat Pump Emergency Heat doesn't work Tone 01-29-2007

Usually, when you own a heat pump, you have someone come out in the
fall, clean the unit, check refrigerant levels, test heating elements
and check performance levels.
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".
Maybe next time you will consider servicing your unit.

Even better advice with regard to the statement you originally made: "My
wife is going to call repair man today to come check it, but....." You
should try to be home when the HVAC man comes out to "check it". You might
want to make sure it's the heat pump he's checking. That is, of course,
unless you don't mind her paying for the service call.
