This case included flex, duct board and foil tape.

First off, dump the Goodman... its about the cheapest POS furnace made.

Next look for a contractor that carries a much better quality brand to begin
with. Its not about the lowest price, its about the best quality equipment
with the best quality installation, and no...its not gonna be free.

Why dont you get 2 or 3 estimates on the replacement and THEN decide
what to do.
I am curious though..........exactly what does a 3 ton furnace look
like with a big hole in the heat exchanger?? I dont quite think Ive
ever seen that. :-)
