Just got a 'utility locate' done ( Uloco / One Call / etc ) for a
small project. Happened to see the guy, so I went out to talk with
him.
He told me that "You're good to go, there's nothing here". I
pointed out the neighborhood transformer in the back yard and said
"OK, I guess that gets its feed from somewhere else". He checked
again. And found the 13 KV feeder he had missed before, running the
entire length of my yard, including EXACTLY where he had been standing
before.
Oops. What's a little 13KV between friends anyway, huh ?
