Did you look *inside* the box??

Nothing in there... plain sheet metal, in and out.

<sigh> I hate it when the cheapest crap gets installed by the lowest bidder.
*EVERY* boot that I have seen and/or installed in this neck of the woods are
insulated internally with 3/4 inch black faced wool or fiberglass. If the
box is not insulated internally, then it will need to be wrapped, otherwise
just as soon as the air temp inside the ducts drops below dew point, your
gonna have a mess.

Personally, I will not install flex or ductboard *PERIOD*.
