**THEY** say a lower stack temperature (flue gas) increases efficiency
and therefore likewise a *higher* stack temperature decreases
efficiency.

Here's how to prove high efficient boilers are not efficient?

In winter remove the outside air vent intake and point it to inside the
boiler room:

If the air leaving the chimney is IMMEDIATELY very very hot (therefore
the stack and flue gas temperature has increased) then you have your
answer (hopefully the 3 inch plastic chimney won't melt on you).

Why the little old government doesn't make any money at all when
everyone ones fuel prices go up, or when every single citizen spends
$20,000 for new high efficiency windows or $10,000 for new high
efficiency furnace....no....no money at all (tax included)...heck they
even give you a nifty $100 rebate coupon!!!!

40 million consumers times fuel price hike, times new windows, times
new furnace = .......

no it's better to be honest and not gain all that money much much
better, in fact every year with a dying baby boom these consumers are
spending more and more and more then they did in the last 40 years
(their houses to heat get bigger by themselves).

Quote:
"If the heating system does not allow flue gases to condense, then
purchasing a condensing boiler would not make economic sense because
the system would not be able to run at peak efficiency."

Although they are wrong about the condensation temperature for natural
gas which is 120F since cast iron run at 120F and above without rust
from condensdation.
