hello,

I have the following units

heritage 12 American standard Tyler, Texas
mod 6h2036a100a4 ser R302tgc1f

Trane
mod bwd718a100b0 ser y47254842

how do break down what the units are in terms of tonnage and information, I
have been all over the web and cannot find a cross reference of what the mod
and serial numbers on a A/C unit represent. if this is the wrong group, any
information where to post would be appreciated.
thanks

every manufacturer has their own codes

trane / american standard makes it harder than most others

it appears the a/s is a 3 ton made in 2000 and the trane is a 1.5 ton
made in 1985

>mod 6h2036a100a4 ser R302tgc1f = 36 in model means 3 ton. 02 in serial means
2002.

>mod bwd718a100b0 ser y47254842 = 18 in model means 1.5 ton. 84 in serial means
1984.
