If I buy a split AC system (about 9,000 btu) online, what are chances
that a registered electrician who has never installed such a system can
install it successfully? Thanks. Ed

If you were a pipefitter instead of an electrician you could do it.

absoloutely totally zero.

Actually, it would likely be illegal for him to do so, as he wouldn't
have a EPA certification to handle refrigerants.

One can buy re-charged lineset.
