Since you won't show me your load calculation, why should
I believe you did one?

For all I know you're just looking at my existing unit
and making a bid to see how much I'm willing to pay.

What makes you think a contractor invests all that work just
to put in a bid, among however many other contractors you called for
bids ? The load calc gets done AFTER you sign the contract, and
equipment specs are adjusted as needed.

Sounds like buying a pig in a poke to me.
As in, agree to pay me and then I'll tell you what
you really need as the estimate increases.

I've been this route with roofers. But I knew how
to do the calculations and I inspected my roof so
I knew who the BS artists were.

Soundds like that's your problem, and doesn't really interest
me.

As in 'my experience tells me you likely need a 2.5 ton unit,
after we sign a contract I will do a load calc ( several hours work )
to make sure we don't need to adjust that down to a 2.0 or up to a
3.0, and the price difference will be this or that ( $$$ specified )
based on that calculation.'

No, you don't get several hours free work done just for the
priviledge of being one of 3 -5 or more contractors you take bids
from. No, you don't get the results of that work without paying for
it.

Can't do that.. Might sell you a Buffalo or a Black Angus though.

Not on a contract! Thats a good way to meet big Bubba as his new cell
mate. Fraud not only is illegal but also is not nice. With all this
gerrymandering, I am wondering about *your* morality and ethics.. Mine
are just fine as proven by many years of honest service.

Well if such is the case why don't you buy a few books and install your
own unit and leave us to service those that really need our expertise?
By the way..We are not roofers and don't do business like roofers. I
service the Grandchildren of my early customers as many others here do.

I certainly hope that is not descriptive.

I think Barnes & Noble has a new customer. ;-p
