A mechanic is $80.00 per hr portal to portal...plus....he can leave in the
PM and be there in the AM....payment upon arrival. We do alot of work up to
200 mi away for a Cell site company, but this is a little out of the bounds.
BUT can be done. So, you see it is probably better to get a new unit and
cheaper.

check to see your getting the proper voltage at the compressor. if so,
you may try a starting capacitor if it has one, otherwise ,compressor
is probably bad .

if you do your own repairs, the otc genysis scanner is great.
napa now sells them.not as cheep as the auto zone low cost scanners ,
but really ,really a time saver.saw some on ebay also. lucas
