Thanks for all the help and concern. Don't worry, I've switched to the
other system for now. An LPCO is on the way. I'm also interested in
how things work so when the compressor is doing funny things my
curiosity is piqued. What would cause the suction pressure to drop so
quickly? Refrigerant can't be getting round the circuit quickly enough
to keep the suction pressure up. This is why I think the expansion
valve is blocked or not opening properly. Or possibly an undercharged
system but it has been working perfectly up till now and this problem
occurred suddenly.

        You miss the fucking point.

Steve's point was that the unit is going off on low pressure (
duh ), not that you need to be adding any controls to it.

Kee-rist, man, use your brain ! It's ALREADY GOING OFF ON LOW
PRESSURE !!!!! How the fuck do you propose that adding an aftermarket
non-factory control to make it go off on low pressure is going to
resolve anything ?????

Fucking get someone COMPETENT there to work on it !!!!

Lots of things - WHICH NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED, not have some
fucking amateur wannabe adding fucking controls to the unit !!!!!!

And the fact that you can't even tell the difference
means .....

CALL SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WTF THEY ARE DOING !!!!!!

This I'm sure was Steve's thrust as well - you misinterpreted
what he said.

Thanks again. I have two separate chillers. Independent of each other.
Completely.

Don't worry, I haven't added anything, just turned it off.

So, what was your comment about 'control on order' ???? You
have said NOTHING that indicates you need to be ordering any new LPCO.
Far from it - your post indicates the EXISTING one is working
correctly.

Don't thank me, just do it.
