Why bother ripping the gut's out in order to put a tev? Keep it simple by
using the existing exp device in the condenser and running the line sets as
per spec but not forgetting to insulate the small line. This makes for a far
cleaner installation and the outdoor works as it was designed too -i.e. with
a pre-expansion line.
I can see the American market adopting the pre-expansion idea in the
domestic market as it makes the install way easier and much quicker.It also
deskills the install as the need for all those silly charging charts is gone
when the condenser comes precharged for 30metres etc
I know for example that Daikin are looking very closely at this market and
would expect something along these lines very soon.
We use these a/c condensers for cellar coolers where the outdoor needs to be
very quiet -proper refrigeration ones are hellishly expensive- and we've
found that with a fridge evap sized correctly remembering to derate the
condenser for the lower temps they work really well.
Fujitsu are pretty good, Daikin and Mitsubishi are better but for your job
it should be fine. I don't know if you get inverter ones there yet but these
will not work in this set up so it needs to be the old fixed speed one.
