Make it stand in the corner or give it a time out.

Hi, I'm also having the exact same problem. It's been running great since July 08. Just this past week one of the two units keeps throwing this E5 (water flow) error message. It's a dual zone system. The one for the first floor with the desuperheater runs like fine. The attic one has the problem. The blower is in the attic but the compressor and pump is in the basement next to the other unit. It'll run fine for a day or so then the thermostat turns red/orange with the E5 code. I have to turn the breaker on and off to reset the unit. It then runs fine for a little while.

Can someone describe the defrost feature a little more? Also, how would hard water affect the system? We are on a well.

Thanks for any help

Defrost melts the ice.

Hard water would be different than soft water.
