I have a tight boiler room, just misses mounting 2 wall mount boilers
side by side. Anyone ever mounted 2 boilers vertically?

Ever mounted 2 boilers upside down? How about laying them on their
backs? You will need a new thermostat though.

Yes. Just make sure you have room for a couple of 45's so you can
vent the bottom one.
