Depends a lot on how many watts the fan draws, don't you
think ? How many watts does a thermostat handle, anyway ? The atual
STAT, not whatever relays it controls etc. I forget ...

What's the wattage rating on the average cooling anticipator ?
I'm guessing maybe 1/4 watt ??? Small damn fan, that ....

A typical T87 cooling anticipator will handle up to 30vac 1.5a. I
would think it could handle a 12vdc .25a muffin fan. Yes?

He could also use a typical Penn refer stat with a coil bulb for about
the same price.

Sorry the new T87N can handle up to one amp at 30vac. That should
work ok.

Should do the job. I'm not all sure what's the amperage
rating of a typical thermostat. Half an amp, maybe.
