>How's your head today?
I endeavor to preserver. Thanks for asking.

Your shit looks ok at a glance. You got a chubby at the tool box
didn't you. /;

Typically HP's have a COP of 3 so your in the ball park.

Maybe you should get a decibel meter and compare your unit to what the
spec sheet says. Maybe you'll find out its normal.

As a benchmark Lennox boasts of a unit that is rated at 76 db. They
claim the quietest HP on the market. Personally I think the Japs have
sewn up the quiet market which makes sense given their urban
situation.

Need necessitates invention so they say.

Those formulas are great for checking out the operation. I should have
done that at the beginning. I also wrote an Excel worksheet so I just
have to type in the numbers. It does all the calculations.

Now if I can only get a data sheet from Goodman I can trust.....

I wish I still had access to a data logger. Just think what I could do
with 32 digital and eight analogue inputs. I could sit in my armchair
and monitor everything that is going on, minute by minute. I could
even have colored diagrams show heat and cool with varying shades of
red and blue.

Wait till I post the defrost cycle to youtube. It now sounds so bad,
I've switched back to aux. I think the thing is gonna blow up!

I thought of that. Radio Shack has got one in stock for $49.95. I
might pick one up. I can also test it on the neighbors.

Yup! I'm still pondering the cement "cone of silence".

My preliminary calculations are about eighty-five 60# bags of
readi-mix. I'll have to check if there is a sale on cement mixers ;)

I think I'm getting to be like Harrison Ford in "Mosquito Coast". This
HVAC thing is becoming an obsession with me.

Here's what it looks and sounds like:

Fuck cement some chicken wire, spray foam and stucco should do the
trick. Get artistic and make it look like a volcano or something.
lol

Take a vacation and leave it to the pros.

I tried that once back in '65. I had to go for the "cure"....

You'll have to rent the movie.

Here's a synopsis for the "fat pipe" challenged...

Well now that you have some tools to play with do me a favor.

Do Not bug the living dog shit out of the poor soul that is to be your
future service tech. His job will be hard enough without any more
outside interference.

Ask the company that your call to send the best guy they have and tell
them you are willing to wait. In the mean time, if possible, use the
electric heat for now.
