The solenoid shows infinite resistance even with switch on. Ergo no
ignition.
Is it possible to replace just the solenoid of a Goodman B12826-28
gas valve (Gemini 36G22Y)? If so, how difficult is the operation?

Many thanks, Herb

Goodman does not make a gas valve
Someone make it for them

It's the pungent odor of this Goodman furnace that makes my head spin.
My own Day-and-Night has run over ten years without a service call.
This Goodman has a curse on it evidently: no specs, no customer
support,
no DIY parts, ... . I'd never buy one.

Water valves and gas valves operate on the same principles, and one
can readily buy and replace water (irrigation) valve solenoids. The
difference
is the flammability of gas, the liability for damages, and the natural
inclination
of HVAC techs to maximize the profit of a service call.

H.K.
