Consumer Reports rated this 'Very Good' in the noise department...not sure
what they were looking at. Compressor is very loud. It's louder than the
crappy Fedders one I'm replacing. This is going back.

If you think Fedders is crappy, you've just found a new level. Those things
are made CHEAP. Yours may be an exception though. Any store models you can
compare with?
