Garden windows - why none by the big outfits? Banty 07-25-2005

I'm looking into installing two garden windows on the south side of my house
(upstate NY), and I've noticed that the big window makers - Marvin, Andersen,
Pella - don't make them.

Any particualar reason why not?? Are they difficult to manufacture with
quality? Is there any other reason why I should stay away from garden windows?

Milgard is one brand I know about..
