$8/hr kiddo, if he slips off the roof, can make for a future home insurance cost
which would make a $100/hr gutter installer look pretty cheap.

Or maybe just sensible and aware of limitations.

Two things I don't do - climb on my roof and crawl around in my crawlspace. The
local E.R. has enough business, thank you.

For this I'd contact a gutter installer. I did in the past. It'll cost a
little more than you'd think, though.

Crawlspaces ain't my thing.

Clogs are usually where the downspout has a corner or angle. With
"normal" downspouts, that's usually at one end or the other, and of
course it's always the top that's clogged, so I just risk my life on a
ladder with a hose and nozzle jammed into the top of the downspout and
somehow wedged in going full blast, and jimmying an untwisted coat
hanger up and down and through the corner as far as I can until the
clog breaks up. If the corner is under the slab, it's going to be
trickier, but no doubt the same principle applies....
