I saw an installation, for a manufactured home I stayed in while they were
building my house and I was dodging hurricanes, that was underground. That
is they dug a hole, lined it with galvanized steel and put the air
conditioner in the hole. This left it flush with the ground. I have
absolutely no idea why they did this and it sure didn't deaden the sound.
Maybe that's a posibility for you??....My .02 ....Ross
