I have put up a wall dispenser that dispenses hand soap...It has
self-stick adhesive on the back. I would like to take it down doing as
little damamge to the wall/paint as possible. Any suggestions?

use a hair dryer to heat it up as warm as you are comfortable with.
Don't get the hair dryer too close, the overload will shut it off if
you restrict the outbound air. Gently pull until you think it needs
more heat. Rinse/repeat :)
Once the dispenser is down, you may need a little lighter fluid to
help remove the rest of the residual gunk. Just use a cotton cloth to
apply the fluid and rug vigorously. Wash the cloth immediately in the
sink when you are done. This ~should~ be safe for latex paint... if
your paint is oil based, test in an inconspicuous area first.
Good luck!

If you mess it up you can always cut out a square piece of drywall
around the dispenser, replace it with a plug, tape it, mud it, sand it,
paint it.

The Stucco site is not a help forum, it's an
*advertising* forum that invades real forums
(like "alt.home.repair", part of "usenet")
parasitically in order to generate free
advertising for itself, which continually
advances its search engine placement, thereby
increasing its own revenue through its click-
through advertising commissions.
So the first thing you should do is write them
an email and tell them to quit spamming.
Then try to find your way here through proper
channels. Please do a google search on "Usenet"
and post the regular way.
