I doubt that the "foam type" brick mold will be strong enough to
support the hinge. If the brick mold is "hard plastic", you might be
able to fasten it with trim screws, but why do you need 3 1/2" long
ones? The brick mold should only be about 1 1/4" thick on the short
side. You could use deck screws designed for "Trex" type decking.
