Actually, if the area is only 1.5x2.5 ft, you could do it by hand, w/ lump
hammer and *good* chisel, w/ about 3 cases of beer.
Would also depend on how clean it peeled up. If you then had to go in
another 2-4" and repour, mebbe the demo hammer would still be best. Proly
about $40-50 to rent, $750 to buy--the Bosch.
