This is one of the famous 'bonus rooms'? How finished is the space? Drywall,
or exposed OSB or plywood? Any exposed insulation or vapor barrier? And now
for the 64 thousand dollar question- is the space within the A/V envelope?
(IOW, is it temp controlled and ventilated?) OSB, especially in unvented
spaces that get hot, is famous for outgassing, and reeks to high heaven.
Particle board underlayment, and factory-finish cabinets and flooring in the
crate, have the same problem.
