I found another "great deal" yesterday, again on Craigslist. A
too-good-to-be-true pick up. We wrote to him. The car is in OK, he is in
LA. Wants to have the deal go through eBay. Told him we are not
interested.

Good for you. Don't fall for those scammers. I have the perfect truck
for you, though. It was my uncle's, and he passed away three weeks ago.
He actually lived about 75 miles from you! He gave me a check the day
before he fell out of tree into the swimming pool and drowned. It was a
loan, to start a business.
The check is for 100,000 dollars. I can't cash it now because of the
whole dead person thing. What a nuisance. But my lawyer says it would be
100% legal for me to deposit it directly to your bank account. Then you
write me a check for 105,000 (5000 for the truck), which I can cash no
problem. And then just go get the truck. His garage is unlocked and the
keys are under the passenger side floor mat.
So send me all your bank account information, and we'll get 'er done!

Okay. I'll send you my bank info. I'll put a check "in the mail." You
keep the truck.

Dont buy a used car without having your independant mechanic go over
it, it could be total junk
