My daughter is renting a lovely older home in New Jersey with three
~20 or more year old Air Conditioners in it.

They don't work, they just blow air hot air. Does it make any sense to
try and get them repaired?

Assuming they belong to the home owner, why not ask him to have them
repaired.

Odd that all 3 don't work. Are you sure its on "cool" and not "fan"?
Is the T-stat turned up all the way?

If they are indeed broken, its not worth fixing. Today's A/C's are
more efficient.

A new AC at Walmart is about $125. I doubt you can get an appliance guy to
fix it for that much money. So, no, it doesn't make much sense.

Save the old Ac to put back in, when she moves.
