Hello,

Can one paint directly over a piece of pressure treated wood to be used
outdoors (the greenish stuff) ?

If a primer is needed, might you please recommend one (Brand and type ?)

Latex O.K. for outdoors ? Or, would an oil based be "substantially" better
?
Or,... ?

Thanks,
Bob

.Solid color stain would be better. You should wait 6 to 12 months.

Never use latex on PT, oil is OK. If you do paint, use any good oil based
exterior primer first but wait for weeks/months so the PT is dry. As
Pawloski said, stain is better.
