Get your sheets at Walmart. They have fitted sheets ("designed for thick
mattresses") that have an 18" drape.

I wouldn't know about Wal-Mart, but I'd agree with the suggestion to buy
better sheets. Coming Home calls theirs "Sheets That Fit," and they do.

If you decide to get sheet holders, DON'T make the mistake I did!
I bought sheet holders and put them amidships, right in the middle of
the bottom sheet, where it always rumpled.

Result: The sheet tore in the middle. I loved those sheets so much
(pattern now unobtainable) that I went through all kinds of trouble to
patch the area. Nothing worked, so, even though I can barely run a
sewing machine, I decided on drastic measures. I cut the bottom off
the top sheet and replaced it with part of another old sheet, figuring
nobody will see down there. Then I seamed the top sheet fragment and
sewed it into the wounded bottom sheet. So far, works fine.

Recommendation: If you absolutely want to stay with the existing
sheets, use only the sheet holders placed at the four corners
of the bottom sheet. They can be bought at Bed Bath and Beyond,
and maybe at Target and department stores. They clip into the corners
of the sheet. The adjustable elastic criss-crosses in the middle,
ending up at the other corner (hope that's clear).

Otherwise, I agree with other posters -- if the problem is that
the sheets are too small for the mattress, get new sheets.
Bed Bath and Beyond often has sheet sales -- if your area
has that chain.

Good luck!

Right. And they do - fit, that is. They may still ride-up, but at 18"
instead of six, it'll take three times as long. By then, the sheets will be
in the washing machine anyway.

The old sheets, moreover, are not a loss.

I used mine to cover the furniture in the living room, thereby cutting down
dramatically on the efforts to remove cat fur.
