1" deck boards? Seems pretty damn thin for a deck. Is this actual wood?
But with some careful measuring and marking, you could set your table
saw or radial arm saw blade to rout out 1/4" where the boards sit on the
joists.

Or plane the first seven boards in 1/32" increments to minimize the 'step'
or transition?

The framing is already done. My method would create a ¼" rise in about 36" -
a barely noticeable slope.

I had thought of doing that as well...another way to accomplish the deed
w/o needing to plane the full length if OP doesn't have a plane and to
avoid the millwork charge would be to cut the relief on the back side at
the joists...
