In a refrigerator's compressor there are three pipes. Can anyone tell
me what each pipe is for?

there's one in the lower left, lower right and upper right.

It's just that in a car's A/C compressor, there are only two....one
inlet and one outlet.

In, out, process.

The "process" tube is used to charge the refrigerant after the assembly is
complete, then pinched off and brazed. Cheap but effective.
