Doing a remodel and plan to change the existing Pergo flooring to real wood
in a few rooms. Would like to remove the existing Pergo and use it in the
bedrooms.

Anything special that needs to be done to remove it so that it can be
re-used? It was initially installed by Pergo trained/authorized installers.

TIA,
Sandy K.

The last one In retrospect dumping the salt OUT OF the bags into wheel
barrow ( clean) spreading around the pool with shovel might of been a better
idea, to bad I didn't think of that.

Hi Sandy,

You left out the most important part: is it a glued installation or
glueless (some people refer to them as snap or click together floors)?
That will make all the difference in the world. If it's glueless, you
should be able to re-use most of the boards if you take care in
uncoupling them.

Here's a link to a flooring message board with lots of pros to answer
all kinds of questions: http://www.thefloorpro.com Consumers and
DIYers can ask questions without registering, but you are invited to
join to take full advantage of the features of the board.

R'gards,

Jim
