A basic locking cabinet can secure valuable papers or personal items
but it will not protect them from theft or fire damage. Only safes can
provide a superior level of protection for documents, jewelry, guns and
personal items. Computer data that would be difficult or impossible to
duplicate if lost. Home and business security systems require the
addition of security safes to eliminate the possibility of data and
document loss due to fire and climate disruptions.

I might suggest that an even better - safer method of protecting most
data is to make a copy of it and keep it off site. Best would be in another
city. A family member may be a good choice.

We don't often hear of bank safe deposit boxes being damaged by fire. The
problem is finding a bank that still offers them. Many don't.

warning is this spam, somonr trying to promote a safe company
specifically advanced safes?

you can TRY and protect yoourself from anything but at some point it
just costs too much:(

better to have a realtive in another city have a box of duplicates
includuing a videotape of your home and posessiuons in case of fire.

now I really shouldnt leave my millions of dollars lay on this table
its time to put it in the matress where it belongs:(

My bank branch is in a supermarket. They give you a choice of paper or
plastic to store you valuables.
