I have a Kenmore washer (front door) from Sears. It does not spin for 2
days but I can hear the engine is working. I have called everywhere to
get some help but the earliest time they can come is 2 weeks from now.
I have kids at home and no coin laundry in this small town. I am not
sure if this washer has BELT or not? if yes, do you think it would be
easy to change the belt? any feedback is highly appreciated. Cheers,
Mike.

Two weeks for service? Good reason not to buy from Sears. Local dealers
give their regular customers top priority.

If the town is so small that it doesn't have a coin laundry (is there
such a town?), what makes you think there are local appliance dealers?

Define "local" A dealer that sold you an appliance, be it 2 miles, 20 miles
or 50 miles, is more likely to repair it and take care of a good customer
than a dealer that lost the sale to Sears. If you are an appliance dealer
with two servicemen, and you get 10 calls for service, 9 from existing
customer, 1 from a Sears customer, who would you service first? Toss in
another variable. Of every 10 service calls, one turns out to buy a new
appliance. Do you want to send your guy first, to the one that will come to
you or the one that may go to Sears?

May independent dealer won't service appliance bought at other stores for
that reason. I ran into that myself some years ago with a dealer in my
town. The appliance was bought when I lived 300 moles away but he would not
come anyway. Another dealer did and got my future sales.

Unless it's a pretty new direct drive model, it probably has a belt.

You can enter your model info and see exploded parts diagrams here:

As for ease of replacing a belt, that is entirely dependent on your
mechanical skill level. I wouldn't consider a washer belt change to be
overly difficult.
