Ineresting; same story here. I now periodically give it a shot of WD-40 and
then lithium grease on a "when I think of it" schedule and the problems
stopped. I don't think bearings like the moisture present in most basements
and cellars.
Now if I'd only been that conscientious with the anode in my water heater
... my knuckles wouldn't have so many scars on them.
