FIOS is much faster than DSL, and appears more stable too:) Probably
because EVERYTHING is NEW!

Lines boxes the works!

My computers are old HP Vectras I bought off e bay for 50 bucks each a
few years ago....

Nice units but really slow:(

Have 2 networked for me and wife, plus a couple older computers just
for the heck of it, they work good too.

thje vectras run windows 2000 the older computers windows 98.

I live 40 miles from a test city where they tried that with some Beta
Testers. It made the local news and everyone got all ready to jump on
the band wagon and then, nothing more was ever said about it. No News
from the Beta Testers or the power company. Its as if it never
happened??????

You would have thought that after all the big hoopla when they started
the testing that something would have made the local news Success or
Failure.

I assume it was a BIG failure with all the "Mums the Word" going on.

Anyway, It had me excited there for a while. I hope they get this
thing working because it is the ONLY hope for people in rural America
where Cable and DSL is not available and will not be available in the
near future if at all.

Regards,
Ed
